Dociva invites Australian-registered medical practitioners to apply to join our clinical network and provide safe, professional telehealth services to patients across Australia.
Through Dociva, medical practitioners can support patients with online medical certificate assessments, telehealth consultations, prescription requests, referrals, and other appropriate healthcare services delivered through a secure online platform.
About the Role
Medical practitioners engaged with Dociva may review patient-submitted information, conduct telehealth consultations where clinically required, issue medical certificates where appropriate, and provide other telehealth services in their independent clinical judgment.
The role is designed for doctors who value safe, patient-centred care and are interested in flexible remote telehealth work alongside their existing clinical practice.
What You May Do Through Dociva
Telehealth and Remote Work
Dociva is built to support remote healthcare delivery. Approved medical practitioners may provide services through our secure online platform from anywhere in Australia, subject to professional, regulatory, privacy, and clinical requirements.
Telehealth consultations may be required where the patient request cannot be safely assessed from the submitted information alone, where further clarification is needed, or where a longer-duration certificate or more complex clinical scenario requires direct practitioner review.
Who Can Apply?
At this stage, Dociva is only accepting applications from medical practitioners who are currently registered to practise in Australia.
We are not currently accepting applications from pharmacists, nurse practitioners, allied health practitioners, overseas-based doctors requiring sponsorship, or applicants who are not currently registered as medical practitioners in Australia.
Clinical Independence and Compliance
Medical practitioners using Dociva remain responsible for their own independent clinical decisions. Certificates, prescriptions, referrals, and other clinical outcomes are not automatically provided and must only be completed where the practitioner considers it clinically appropriate after assessment.
Dociva supports compliant healthcare delivery and expects all participating practitioners to practise in accordance with applicable Australian laws, professional standards, privacy obligations, and regulatory requirements, including guidance from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and relevant workplace evidence requirements.
