How to Apply for Medical Practitioner Roles at Dociva

This page explains the application pathway for doctors interested in providing telehealth services through Dociva. The online application form is available on the medical practitioner application page.

Dociva works with doctors who can provide safe, professional, and clinically appropriate care in an online setting. Before applying, please review the information below to understand what details may be requested and how applications are assessed.

Before You Apply

Please make sure you have the correct professional details available before starting the form.

  • Your full name and contact details.
  • Your current AHPRA medical registration number.
  • Your area of practice or professional role, such as general practitioner or specialist.
  • Details about your relevant clinical or telehealth background.
  • An up-to-date resume, if you choose to provide one.

Eligibility Overview

Dociva is currently focused on applications from doctors who are already registered to practise medicine in Australia. Applicants should be able to demonstrate appropriate professional standing, suitability for remote clinical work, and an understanding of safe telehealth practice.

Applications from non-medical practitioner roles are not being accepted through this pathway. This includes pharmacists, nurse practitioners, allied health professionals, overseas applicants requiring sponsorship, and applicants who do not currently hold Australian medical practitioner registration.

What the Application Form Includes

The application form asks for basic identifying and professional information so Dociva can complete an initial review. Required fields include your first name, email address, AHPRA registration number, and profession.

You may also provide your mobile number and upload a resume. Resume upload is optional, but it can be helpful where your background includes telehealth, general practice, urgent care, occupational health, medical certificates, prescribing, referrals, or other relevant clinical experience.

Resume Upload Guidance

A resume is not mandatory at the first step. However, where provided, it should be current and relevant to your medical work. The application form supports common document formats such as PDF, DOC, and DOCX, subject to the file requirements shown on the form.

Please avoid uploading documents that contain unnecessary sensitive information. The resume should focus on professional experience, registration background, areas of practice, and any relevant telehealth or remote-care experience.

How Applications Are Reviewed

After submission, Dociva may review the information provided against the needs of the clinical network. This may include checking professional details, reviewing suitability for remote work, considering relevant experience, and assessing whether the applicant aligns with Dociva's clinical and operational requirements.

Submitting an application does not guarantee onboarding or approval. Suitable applicants may be contacted for further information, verification steps, or an introductory discussion about the platform and clinical workflows.

Clinical Expectations

Doctors providing services through Dociva are expected to exercise independent clinical judgment at all times. Online healthcare requests must be assessed appropriately, and clinical outcomes should only be completed where the practitioner considers them suitable after review.

Dociva expects participating practitioners to follow applicable professional standards, privacy obligations, documentation requirements, and clinical processes relevant to telehealth care in Australia.
