A single-day medical certificate request is $16.90. A multi-day medical certificate request, for up to 5 days, is $39.90. These fees are assessment fees and do not guarantee that a certificate will be issued. A certificate is only issued if the reviewing medical practitioner considers it clinically appropriate.
Dociva's online medical certificate pathway is designed for adults aged 18 years and over who are in Australia and need an assessment for sick leave, carer's leave, or study-related absence. Some requests may not be suitable for online assessment. If your symptoms are serious, urgent, worsening, or you are unsure whether you need urgent care, please call 000 or attend the nearest emergency department.
Each request is reviewed by an Australian-registered medical practitioner. The practitioner may approve the request, decline the request, or ask for further information where needed. All requests may require phone or video contact before a decision is made.
